How to Take Care of Your Shoes
Change shoes often, if possible several times a day. It is important that your shoes get a chance to dry between wear; this way they stay in better shape.
Remove dirt and stains as soon as possible and use care products suitable for the material.
Dry your shoes in room temperature (leather does not like too much heat).
After summer or winter season it pays off to give your shoes a proper care treatment:
- remove dirt, stains and dust
- use care products and make your pair shine
- use shoe trees or stuff newspaper into the shoes; this way they keep their shape
- store in room temperature, away from dust
Leather
Remove dirt and stains with damp cloth; with mild soap dissolvent if needed.
Use protective leather cream to ensure leathers longevity. Cream moisturizes leather and allows it to breathe. Wax-based shine products give leather a good shine, but can cause leather to dry out if used on a regular basis.
